Atarah Huang is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Art Therapist with over four years of clinical experience across hospital, community, and outpatient settings. She has worked with diverse adult populations, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, chronic stress, chronic pain, adjustment challenges, and life transitions.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and DBT-informed interventions. Drawing from her background in art therapy and somatic practice, she incorporates body awareness and experiential techniques when helpful, offering additional pathways for emotional processing and self-understanding.
Atarah integrates compassion-focused, strengths-based, and mindfulness approaches to support emotional regulation, resilience, and self-compassion. She brings a culturally responsive and holistic lens to her work, honoring each client’s lived experience and creating a safe, respectful space for growth and healing. She offers therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, supporting clients who feel most comfortable expressing themselves in their preferred language.
